The Vast
The Vast is a sea of unknown orgins created by SPIRIT, it accumulates all types of people, entities, or objects for its own gain. This is most obvious in the lobby from the random objects spread around in the water, each map is apart of said sea and traveled to by boat.

Games aren't canon, but some stories from them are? It's unknown exactly what and what doesn't happen in a match, however theres a definitive story path that the game is taking. Meaning you'll learn what really is to be in due time.

Currently, the timeline down to specifics are unknown, but its around as follows: Brandon dies, the npc is taken in. Guest 666 enters in some way. JX1 travels to the vast by Garden.Maze. DragonDudes enters in some way. Prototype is created in(?) it. The Stalker enters in some way. Jacob decides against Father's plan, falls into the vast and reaches the main island via a pirate ship. Father pursuits jacob, entry likely the same.
